The Smoke Free Arizona Web site provides information regarding the “Smoke-Free Arizona Act” (A.R.S. § 36-601.01 and § 42-3251.02). The Act restricts smoking in public places and workplaces including but not limited to: bars, restaurants, workplaces, stadiums, reception areas, theatres, and designated non-smoking hotel rooms. The site provides compliance information (including downloadable signs for posting in the workplace), county and local links and resources for smoking cessation, and options for reporting smoking violations including an electronic violation reporting form.
Information sent to us electronically is not necessarily secure against interception. If your communication is private or includes personal information such as your Social Security number, you may want to send it by postal mail or contact us in person or by phone.
Smoking Violation Reporting
Providing personal information when making a smoking violation complaint is optional per A.R.S. § 36-601.01(G)(3), “A person
shall not be required to disclose the person’s identity when reporting a violation.”
Information received by us when
you report a violation will be used to investigate the complaint and may be shared with others as required by law. If you do
not wish your name or other personal information to be shared, please file an anonymous complaint (do not provide personal information).
